About Camporeale Days

Camporeale Days is the premier food and wine festival in the small village of Camporeale, near Palermo, dedicated to the Monreale and Alcamo DOC wines and the agricultural excellence of the Alto Belìce region. Every autumn, the Atrio Principe, the Baglio, and the Palazzo del Principe host dozens of Sicilian wineries and producers for tastings, masterclasses, cooking shows, workshops, and concerts that keep the village streets buzzing until late at night.

Camporeale Days: Wine at the heart of the village

In the heart of western Sicily, nestled among the vine-covered hills of the Alto Belìce, the town of Camporeale (Metropolitan City of Palermo) hosts the Camporeale Days every autumn, one of the island's most popular food and wine events. Launched in 2014 by the young members of the local Pro Loco, the festival has grown with each edition to attract tens of thousands of visitors, transforming this small village of just over three thousand inhabitants into a capital of Sicilian wine for an entire weekend.

Monreale DOC wines and the Alto Belìce

The undisputed stars are the Monreale DOC and Alcamo DOC wines, with around twenty local wineries showcasing their labels at tasting stands. Alongside the wine, the festival highlights other treasures of the Alto Belìce: extra virgin olive oil, cheeses, cured meats, local breads, pastries, and artisanal crafts, particularly woodwork. Grape varieties such as Catarratto, Perricone, and Syrah tell the oenological story of this corner of Sicily.

Masterclasses, cooking shows, and workshops

The program alternates between public events and days reserved for industry professionals and the press, starting with a B2B session featuring official presentations, tastings of historic vintages, and masterclasses led by prominent national food and wine journalists. During the weekend, the village comes alive with cooking shows by Sicilian chefs and pastry makers, taste workshops, guided tours of the Palazzo del Principe and the Sanctuary, and a shuttle service to local wineries.

A village celebrating until late

From morning until 1:00 AM, the streets of Camporeale are filled with music, DJ sets, concerts, tasting stands, and exhibition spaces. Today, Camporeale Days is a landmark event for wine lovers and those eager to discover Mediterranean biodiversity and the rural culture of the Palermo hinterland, all in an authentic atmosphere deeply rooted in the local territory.

Camporeale Days — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Camporeale Days is expected in autumn, the traditional time for the event. Official dates and the program for 2026 have not yet been announced by the organizers; the official website indicates that the program will be published shortly. The spirit and format of the festival, dedicated to Monreale DOC wines and the excellence of the Alto Belìce, remain confirmed.

Following the great success of the tenth edition, Camporeale Days will return to the village of Camporeale (Palermo) for its 2026 edition. Precise dates and the program have not yet been made public: the organizers, Pro Loco di Camporeale and Utopìa Communication Events, have announced that the full calendar will be released soon via the official website and social media channels. For 2026, we can once again expect the tasting stands of Monreale and Alcamo DOC wineries, masterclasses, cooking shows, and workshops that have made the event famous.
