Fritto misto is a true classic of Piedmontese cuisine: a succession of sweet and savory bites—meats, vegetables, semolina, amaretti cookies, and fruit—fried individually and served hot. Saint Martin's Festival — edition 2026
For 2026, Baldissero Canavese is once again preparing to celebrate its patron saint, Saint Martin. Following the success of previous editions, the Pro Loco will host the Piedmontese Fritto Misto Dinner (by reservation, at the headquarters in Piazza Unità d'Italia) and, on Sunday, Holy Mass followed in the afternoon by the traditional Chestnut Roast in the square.

By car: Baldissero Canavese can be reached from the A5 Turin–Aosta motorway (exits in the Ivrea / Castellamonte area), then via provincial roads of the Canavese. The most convenient train station is Ivrea, on the Turin–Aosta line, from where you can continue by car or local connections.
