Saint Barnabas Festival in Laghi

The patron's feast in the smallest village in Veneto

The Saint Barnabas Festival is the patronal feast of Laghi, a municipality in Alto Astico in the province of Vicenza and the least populous in Veneto, nestled in the picturesque Val di Ferro. Although Saint Barnabas is celebrated on June 11th, the festival is traditionally held in July, when the mountains offer the ideal climate for enjoying the festive days outdoors.

Between tournaments, music, and walks

The program combines moments of games and conviviality: the Briscola Ciacolona (a popular card game tournament), the "4 against 4" football tournament in the square, evenings of live music, and traditional games. The heart of Sunday is the Cyclamen March, a non-competitive walk with multiple routes through the village woods, a classic much loved by trekking enthusiasts. There is also a fireworks display to close the festival.

A community festival

Organized by Pro Loco Laghi with the support of the municipal administration, the festival offers a food stall with traditional dishes from Vicenza and Alto Astico. It is an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of mountainous Veneto and the hospitality of a small community that, despite its small size, knows how to bring its patronal feast to life with great warmth.
