The Far West arrives at the foot of Monviso

On Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2026, the Girardi Stable ASD in Villafalletto, in the heart of the Cuneo province, turns into an authentic corner of the Far West with the Rodeo Night Show. It is the first time a real night rodeo show has come to this part of Piedmont: two intense days where adrenaline, western tradition, and fun for all ages blend together at the foot of Monviso.

The initiative is organized by Girardi Stable ASD in collaboration with the White Ranch of Fiano Romano, one of the most well-known names in the Italian rodeo scene. Together, they have put together a rich program that weaves official competitions, demonstrations, and entertainment, with a special focus on families and children.

The heart of the event: Bull Riding

The highlight is a leg of the European and Italian Bull Riding Championship, the signature discipline of American rodeo and the most extreme and spectacular one. The audience watches the challenge between cowboys and bulls: eight seconds of resistance that feel like an eternity, filled with explosive power, limit-defying balance, and the intervention of bullfighters who protect the athletes during the riskiest trials.

Western disciplines in competition

Beyond bull riding, the Rodeo Night Show offers a range of competitions that showcase the perfect harmony between rider and horse:

• Barrel Racing: two heats where horse-and-rider pairs race against the clock around three barrels.
• Pole Bending: two slalom heats against the clock between six aligned poles.
• Breakaway: the timed lasso discipline, featuring the symbolic capture of a calf.

To complete the picture, there are also roping demonstrations, carousels, and equestrian performances that tell the story of the skill and culture of the western world.

An event for the whole family

The Rodeo Night Show is not just about competition: it is a festival designed to involve both adults and children. The event area hosts food trucks serving burgers, sandwiches, beer, soft drinks, and ice cream, as well as themed stands and entertainment zones. The ranch atmosphere, the evening lights, and the charm of the Far West make this event an ideal destination for a unique night out in the Cuneo countryside.

Villafalletto and the Girardi Stable

Located on Via Monera in Villafalletto, the Girardi Stable is an excellent equestrian center spanning twelve hectares, with indoor and outdoor arenas and a long tradition of hosting equestrian competitions and events. The facility already hosted barrel racing and pole bending competitions in 2025: with the 2026 Rodeo Night Show, it takes a major leap forward, bringing one of the most scenic shows in the western calendar to Piedmont.
