Four days of taste, music, sport, and community in the Tagliamento hills
There are festivals that only fill plates and others that fill a village's heart: Ragogna in the Heart undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. Organized by Pro Loco Ragogna APS, this summer event transforms the Ragogna festival park for four days. Ragogna is a small municipality in the province of Udine, nestled among the morainic hills and the bend of the Tagliamento river, into a meeting place where gastronomy, music, sport, and solidarity come together.
The name says it all: here, it's not a single product that is celebrated, but the entire community, its people, its flavors, and its stories. Each evening has a different theme, from inclusion to volunteering, from sport to music, in a program that brings together different generations: families, young people, and the elderly all find their space.
The table is the true common thread. The absolute stars are the signature dishes born right here: the Ragognocco and the Meraviglie di Ragogna, to which Ragovega, a vegan option that reflects the desire to innovate without betraying tradition, has been added in recent years. Accompanying the cuisine are the local wine bar and the brewery featuring regional producers, in a journey of taste that celebrates the hilly Friuli region.
Alongside the food stalls, the evenings come alive with live concerts, DJ sets, children's shows, outdoor film screenings, sports and dance performances โ including inclusive ones by athletes with disabilities โ craft markets, and moments dedicated to volunteer associations. The concluding Sunday traditionally features the MagnaLonga, a gastronomic walk through the trails, a river descent on the Tagliamento, and a guided cycling tour, before the grand musical finale.
Visiting Ragogna during the festival is also an opportunity to discover a surprising territory: the Castle of Ragogna, the Museum of the Great War that preserves the memory of the Tagliamento front in 1917, the small lakes, and the trails of the morainic hills. A setting that makes this event, supported by the Municipality of Ragogna, one of the most cherished summer festivals in the Udine foothills.
Pro Loco Ragogna is bringing back its summer festival to the festival park in 2026. As per established tradition, the program unfolds over four themed evenings, from the opening dedicated to families to the grand musical finale on Sunday, including days for sport and volunteering. The precise dates will be announced by Pro Loco in the weeks leading up to the event.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by Pro Loco Ragogna in the weeks preceding the event. Based on recent editions, the structure includes:
Food stalls with Ragognocco, Meraviglie di Ragogna, and Ragovega, as well as the wine bar and brewery, will be open throughout the event.
