The music of Neapolitan Christmas presented by the Pro Loco
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Christmas Concert is one of the most anticipated events in the winter calendar of Brusciano, a town in the Vesuvius area in the province of Naples, in the heart of Campania. For nearly thirty years, the Pro Loco di Brusciano has offered the community, in the days following Christmas, an evening of great music hosted in one of the town's churches: a concert conceived as a gift to the city, always with free admission.
The common thread of the festival is the repertoire of the Neapolitan Christmas: devotional songs, lullabies, tammurriate, and pieces from the great Neapolitan tradition, often entrusted to leading performers of the Campania music scene. The evening intertwines spirituality and folklore, rediscovering the richness of folk songs linked to the holidays and returning to the audience the collected and intense atmosphere of ancient Christmas vigils.
Over the years, the concert has alternated programs of classical and sacred music with performances entirely dedicated to Neapolitan song, under the artistic consultancy of musician Enzo Di Monda, who has been directing the project for years.
The event traditionally takes place inside the places of worship in Brusciano, in particular in the Patronal Church of San Sebastiano Martire, whose acoustics and solemnity offer the ideal setting for a concert with strong spiritual value. The collaboration with the parish makes the evening a moment of community, capable of bringing together citizens, families, and enthusiasts in the intimate atmosphere of the holidays.
The Pro Loco di Brusciano, chaired by journalist Francesco Martignetti, has been an active entity for years in the promotion of local traditions, heritage, and the cultural identity of the Vesuvius territory. Brusciano is known throughout the region for the Festa dei Gigli dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site, and the Christmas Concert represents the other great moment with which the Pro Loco accompanies the life of the community, this time in the sign of music and Christmas reflection.
The initiative enjoys the moral patronage of the Municipality of Brusciano and UNPLI, the National Union of Pro Loco of Italy, in its regional and provincial branches of Naples.
The Pro Loco di Brusciano is once again proposing its Christmas Concert in 2026, an anticipated appointment with holiday music in the Municipality of Brusciano, in the province of Naples. The event, with free admission, will take place as usual in one of the town's churches in the days around Christmas.
At the moment, the final date, the program, and the artists for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the lineup will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the holidays.
