A weekend of folk music and tradition in Carbonara di Nola
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Carbonara in Festa is the event that transforms Via Generale Curto in Carbonara di Nola into a grand open-air stage every November. Located in the Agro Nolano area of the province of Naples, this small town in Campania preserves the most authentic spirit of a village festival: neighbors and families gathering in the streets to share music, laughter, and local traditions.
The festival is promoted by the San Michele Arcangelo Festival Committee, the organization dedicated to celebrating the town's patron saint. Alongside the religious ceremonies and processions that mark the local calendar, the Committee created this lighter, more popular event to bring the community together and breathe life back into the town center.
Music is the heartbeat of Carbonara in Festa. The program blends classic Neapolitan songs with the sounds of Southern Italian folk traditions, featuring tammurriate and songs rooted in Campania's rural culture. DJ sets keep the energy high late into the night, appealing to both young people and families.
Carbonara in Festa is designed with the little ones in mind. In the early afternoon, a dedicated area is set up with bouncy castles, entertainment, and sweet treats, allowing families with children to enjoy the festivities from the very start.
Beyond the program, what makes Carbonara in Festa special is the atmosphere: the street lights, the meetings between locals, and the pleasure of spending time together. For visitors, it is a chance to discover an authentic corner of the province of Naples, far from the main tourist trails but rich in tradition and hospitality.
The San Michele Arcangelo Festival Committee has not yet released the official calendar for the 2026 edition of Carbonara in Festa. Based on previous years, the event is expected to return in November along Via Generale Curto in Carbonara di Nola, Campania, featuring Neapolitan folk music concerts, DJ sets, and activities for children. Definitive dates and the full program will be communicated by the organizers on social media in the weeks leading up to the event.
Carbonara in Festa takes place along Via Generale Curto in the center of Carbonara di Nola (NA), Campania.
By car, Carbonara di Nola can be reached via the Nola exit on the A16 Naples-Canosa motorway, continuing towards the Agro Nolano area. The nearest train station is Nola, served by the Circumvesuviana line, from where you can take local bus connections.
Admission to the evening events is traditionally free. For updated schedules and the program for the current edition, we recommend following the official social media channels of the San Michele Arcangelo Festival Committee.
