Autumn Flavours in the historic centre of Camaiore
Prim'Olio Primovino — Autumn Flavours is a promotional food and wine fair that brings the historic centre of Camaiore, in the province of Lucca, to life every year on the last weekend of November. The event celebrates the season's new olive oil and new wine, alongside the rich agricultural bounty of the region: honey, chestnuts, bread, cheeses, and organic, zero-kilometre products.
The event takes place across the three main squares of this medieval town — Piazza XIX Maggio, Piazza San Bernardino, and Piazza Diaz — which transform into a vibrant open-air market for the entire weekend. Among the producers' stalls, you can sample and purchase extra virgin olive oil, wines from local cellars, honey, sweets, and traditional specialties from the countryside of Versilia, Lunigiana, and Garfagnana.
The highlight of the festival is the competition to crown the best extra virgin olive oil in the region. Samples from both professional and private producers are analysed by experts from the Busdraghi Agricultural Technical Institute of Mutigliano before being put to a public tasting. Over the years, the event has also featured a photography contest focused on the relationship between man and the mountains, as well as a charming competition for Camaiore's primary schools, with the winning drawings printed on bottle labels.
Conceived by Cantine Angeli and organised by the Versilia Tourism Promotion Consortium in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Camaiore and under the patronage of the Municipality of Camaiore, Prim'Olio Primovino has become a staple of the Tuscan autumn calendar. The fair combines the promotion of local products with the showcasing of modern and organic farming techniques, highlighting a territory that stretches from the inland hills down to the Versilian coast.
With free admission and the convivial atmosphere of the village, Prim'Olio Primovino is the perfect opportunity to discover the authentic flavours of the Tuscan coast during one of the most evocative times of the year.
The 2026 edition of Prim'Olio Primovino is scheduled for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026 in the historic centre of Camaiore, as confirmed by the official promotional fair calendar of the Versilia Tourism Promotion Consortium.
Once again this year, the town squares will host stalls from producers of extra virgin olive oil, wine, honey, and local zero-kilometre products, alongside guided tastings, talks, and the traditional competition to crown the best oil in the region. Admission is free.
The detailed programme for the 2026 edition will be published by the organisers in the weeks leading up to the event. Based on recent editions, the fair will take place over two days with:
