A fair born in 1447

The Ognissanti Fair in Camaiore, located in the heart of Versilia in the province of Lucca (Tuscany), is much more than just a large market: it is a modern-day revival of an ancient trade fair documented as far back as the 15th century, with the first records dating to 1447. This makes it one of the oldest and most iconic fairs in the region, an event that has marked the arrival of autumn for centuries and continues to attract thousands of visitors from all over the region.

Over 250 stalls in the town squares

For two days, the center of Camaiore is filled with over 250 stalls, organized by sector across the main squares and central streets. The exhibition range is vast and varied:

• Commercial sector: stalls located in Piazza XXIX Maggio, near the Municipal Swimming Pool, at Parco Papa Giovanni XXIII, and in Piazza Romboni.
• Artistic crafts and local associations along Via Vittorio Emanuele.
• Vehicles and car dealerships in Piazza San Bernardino and Via XX Settembre.
• Typical products, Versilia agricultural produce, and seasonal gastronomy.

The animal area at the Badia

The traditional heart of the fair is the agricultural and livestock section, located in the Badia area. Here, horses, cattle, sheep, and other farm animals return, accompanied by a rich program of exhibitions and demonstrations: equestrian carousels and trials (vaulting, mounted games, gymkhana, ponies), canine obedience and agility displays, and farriery demonstrations. It is the most beloved part of the fair for families and children, who find an authentic connection to the local rural culture.

A celebration for all of Versilia

The Ognissanti Fair is not just about buying and selling: it is a popular festival that unites the Municipality of Camaiore and the entire Versilia area. Between the stalls, visitors can stroll through autumn flavors, artisan creations, and local association stands, in an atmosphere that blends tradition and conviviality. In recent years, the municipal administration has worked to improve the quality and quantity of the exhibition and to make visiting easier with dedicated services.
