The Popphof Winery Festival

The Popphoffesta is the annual celebration hosted by Weingut Popphof, a historic family-run winery in Marlengo (Marling), in the Burgraviato district, just minutes from Merano in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige. Every year, around mid-August, the Menz family opens the courtyard and cellar rooms on Via Mitterterzer to welcome guests and enthusiasts for an evening dedicated to wine, local gastronomy, and live music.

Wine, Cuisine, and Live Music

The heart of the festival is the tasting of estate-grown wines: South Tyrolean whites and reds, often showcasing the latest vintages alongside the winery's newest creations. Everything is paired with catering dishes and local South Tyrolean specialties, from traditional platters (Brettlmarende) to regional delicacies. The evening unfolds to the sound of live bands and ensembles, in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the event.
