Promoted by the Pro Loco of Calvi Risorta with the support of the municipality, the event transforms the town center into a vibrant culinary hub where tradition can be savored at every corner.

What is pizzonta?

Pizzonta is a simple, genuine fried pizza, rooted in the traditional 'cucina povera' of Campania. The dough, made from flour, water, yeast, and salt, is fried until golden and crispy, then served piping hot. It can be enjoyed in a savory version, paired with mortadella, cured meats, or cheeses, or as a sweet treat, dusted with sugar or filled with hazelnut cream. It is the perfect communal dish to enjoy while strolling through the festival stalls.
