A village festival born from solidarity

The Pizza Festival in Pignataro Maggiore, in the province of Caserta, is no ordinary food fair. Launched in 2023 by the L'Officina dell'Amore APS association, the event has grown year after year to become one of the most anticipated June gatherings in the Caserta area. Its formula is simple and effective: great food, community spirit, and all proceeds donated to charity. The organizers' slogan, «Appetite comes... by giving!», perfectly captures the event's spirit.

Behind the festival is a group of about thirty volunteers who support families navigating the challenges of pediatric illness throughout the year. Funds raised during the three nights go toward purchasing equipment for the Pediatric Oncology department of the Santobono Pausilipon Hospital in Naples—a clear, stated goal that gives the festival a meaning far beyond the dinner table.

Partignano, the heart of the event

The stage is Piazzetta Alcide De Gasperi in the Partignano district: an intimate, open-air space that transforms for three nights into a large community kitchen with stalls, long tables, and a performance area. It is the kind of setting that works perfectly in Campania—the village square as the natural home of a celebration—offering a familiar and convivial atmosphere far removed from large city events.

The master pizzaioli

The culinary quality is the festival's true strength: every year, the association brings renowned names in Neapolitan and Campanian pizza to Partignano, all volunteering their time for the cause. The 2026 edition featured at the ovens:

Alongside traditional pizza, you will find montanarine from Il Ritrovo dei Golosi—small fried pizzas that are a staple of Campanian popular tradition and a must-have at any village festival.

A concrete commitment to inclusion

One of the festival's most appreciated features is the gluten-free area, introduced in 2025 and confirmed in subsequent editions thanks to the collaboration with Amonoglù and the Luisè artisanal workshop. Those following a gluten-free diet can enjoy the festival without compromise, with products prepared in a dedicated station: a detail that highlights the inclusive nature of the entire event.

Live music and space for children

Each evening balances gastronomy with entertainment: live music, animation, and shows and games for children, with an area reserved for family activities. It is a deliberately popular and accessible program, designed to keep entire families in the square until late at night.
