Three months of free shows, sports, and flavors, featuring Frutta Fest, Mozzarella Festival, Watermelon Festival, and Pizza Fest
Estate al Jambo is the summer program of the Jambo1 Center, the large commercial complex located along the Trentola-Parete provincial road in the town of Trentola Ducenta, in the province of Caserta. It is not a traditional village fair, but a widespread festival that, now an annual tradition, enlivens the food court, the gallery, and the outdoor spaces of the center for three months with dozens of events, all with free admission.
The formula is simple and effective: every weekend offers a different reason to head out. From children's shows to live music, from Neapolitan stand-up comedy to taste workshops and outdoor sports tournaments. It is one of the most popular summer attractions in the area north of Naples, in a territory—the Aversa agro—where people love to spend their July and August evenings outdoors.
The gastronomic heart of the festival is entrusted to four recurring events that showcase the iconic products of Campania:
All four take place in the late afternoon, when the heat begins to subside, and are open to anyone who wishes to attend without tickets or reservations.
The food court stage hosts well-known faces from television and the Campania comedy scene each season: performers from Amici, comedians who rose through the ranks of Made in Sud, cabaret artists, and social media stars. There is no shortage of tributes to Neapolitan song, with evenings dedicated to the history of Parthenopean music, from the classic repertoire to memories of Pino Daniele, and even the tammurriata, the traditional dance-song of the Vesuvius and Campania area that ideally closes the circle between popular festival and contemporary entertainment.
For the little ones, the program includes soap bubbles, clowning, roving entertainment in the gallery, and virtual reality stations, with immersive experiences that in recent editions have featured aquatic safaris and prize games.
Alongside the shows, Estate al Jambo fields a real temporary sports village set up in the outdoor spaces. From mid-June to mid-September, activities include beach volleyball, street basketball, 5-a-side football, padel, pickleball, karate, fitness, and skating, with tournaments, exhibitions, and free summer camps for children aged 5 to 12. A portion of the spots in the camps is reserved for minors in socio-economic difficulty: a charitable touch that has given the festival a level of recognition that goes beyond a simple calendar of events.
First-time visitors discover an atmosphere like an extended neighborhood party: families with strollers, groups of teenagers, and grandparents sitting back to watch the show. You can grab a bite in the food court, take a stroll in the air-conditioned gallery, watch a concert, and then head back out to catch a beach volleyball match. There is no ancient ritual to follow, but there is a pleasant collective habit that has consolidated over the years in Trentola Ducenta and the neighboring towns—Parete, Aversa, Casaluce, Lusciano.
Because it's free, it lasts for three months, and it covers a very wide range of interests: those looking for tastings will find the food festivals, those looking for fun will find comedians, and those with small children will find entertainment and sports. In a province where summer offerings are often concentrated on the Domitian coast, Estate al Jambo is the inland alternative, easy to reach and with no entry costs.
The 2026 calendar for the Trentola Ducenta festival is the richest in recent years: it kicks off on Saturday, June 13, with a bubble and clown show for children and runs until mid-September thanks to the Campo LibHERO sports village, active from June 15 to September 15.
The common thread remains the alternation between live music, comedy, and gastronomy. Announced guests include Elena D'Elia, finalist of the 2026 edition of Amici, and various faces from the Campania comedy scene seen on Made in Sud. The closing, on August 29 and 30, combines the Pizza Fest with a tribute to Pino Daniele and the tammurriata.
All events take place at the Jambo1 Center, are free, and are held between the food court, the gallery, and the outdoor spaces. Registration at the info point is required for the children's summer camps (ages 5-12); a quota of spots is reserved free of charge for minors in socio-economically fragile conditions.
