Piedmontese Fassone Veal Festival

In the heart of the Asti hills, the village of Crivelle in the municipality of Buttigliera d'Asti hosts the Piedmontese Fassone Veal Festival every July, one of the most beloved food and wine events in the province of Asti, Piedmont. The absolute star is the Fassone, a Piedmontese cattle breed renowned for its lean, tender meat, expertly prepared by the volunteer chefs of the Pro Loco Amici di Crivelle.

Traditional flavors

For three consecutive evenings, the food stand offers a menu that serves as a true journey through Piedmontese cuisine. Must-try dishes include:

• Vitello tonnato, a regional classic
• Roasted peppers with bagna freida and anchovies in green sauce

Fast Tractor Pulling

One of the most anticipated highlights is the Fast Tractor Pulling event, a spectacular tractor-pulling competition held on Sunday morning that attracts fans of tractors and agricultural mechanics from all over the region, fostering a spirit of friendly rivalry and rural folklore.

The festival takes place in the oratory area behind the Crivelle church, with free admission and fully covered structures that ensure the event goes ahead even in case of rain.
