Three days of flavors, music, and fun in Crivelle di Buttigliera d'Asti
In the heart of the Asti hills, the village of Crivelle in the municipality of Buttigliera d'Asti hosts the Piedmontese Fassone Veal Festival every July, one of the most beloved food and wine events in the province of Asti, Piedmont. The absolute star is the Fassone, a Piedmontese cattle breed renowned for its lean, tender meat, expertly prepared by the volunteer chefs of the Pro Loco Amici di Crivelle.

Alongside the excellent food, the festival offers a rich entertainment program with live music, DJ sets, and performances that keep the party going late into the night, drawing crowds of all ages from the Monferrato hills and the nearby Turin area.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the Fast Tractor Pulling event, a spectacular tractor-pulling competition held on Sunday morning that attracts fans of tractors and agricultural mechanics from all over the region, fostering a spirit of friendly rivalry and rural folklore.
The festival takes place in the oratory area behind the Crivelle church, with free admission and fully covered structures that ensure the event goes ahead even in case of rain. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the authentic hospitality of Piedmont and the excellent products of the Asti territory.
The 19th Piedmontese Fassone Veal Festival will be held in Crivelle di Buttigliera d'Asti from July 17 to 19, 2026, with the food stand open every evening from 7:00 PM.
The menu celebrates Piedmontese Fassone with raw beef, vitello tonnato, Fassone agnolotti, crivellese braised beef, maxi mixed grill, and house specialties. Free admission.
Crivelle is a hamlet of Buttigliera d'Asti, in the province of Asti. By car, it can be reached via the A21 Turin-Piacenza motorway (Villanova d'Asti exit) or via the SP road to Buttigliera d'Asti. The nearest train station is Villanova d'Asti, on the Turin-Asti line.
The food stand opens in the evening from 7:00 PM. On Sunday, the day begins in the morning with the Fast Tractor Pulling. Free admission.
The pavilions are covered: the event takes place as scheduled even in bad weather. For the busiest evenings, it is advisable to arrive early.
