The Piedmontese stage of the FIM Supermoto World Championship at the Kart Planet Circuit in Busca
For twenty years, the International Kart Planet Circuit in Busca, in the province of Cuneo, has been a historic venue for the FIM Supermoto World Championship. The Piedmont Grand Prix is the Italian leg of this world-class circuit, blending speed, jumps, drifts, and spectacular riding: supermoto combines the fast stretches of asphalt with the challenges of dirt sections, delivering one of the most adrenaline-fueled spectacles in two-wheeled motorsports.
Each edition, the Busca paddock welcomes dozens of riders from numerous nationsโincluding Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia, Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlandsโwith official teams and various manufacturers on the track. The races are broadcast in numerous countries worldwide and followed by millions of viewers, making the town of Busca the true world capital of the discipline for a weekend.

The Piedmont Grand Prix is organized by the Moto Club Busca with the support of the Piedmont Region, the Municipality of Busca, and local entities. Beyond the races, the weekend is a festive occasion for the Cuneo town, providing a significant boost to local hospitality and dining. For fans, it is an opportunity to experience the paddock atmosphere up close, admire the race bikes, and cheer for the champions in a friendly and accessible setting at the foot of the Piedmontese Alps.
L'edizione 2026 del Gran Premio del Piemonte ha confermato Busca tra le grandi sedi del Mondiale Supermoto, con la ventesima edizione consecutiva sul Circuito Internazionale Kart Planet. Un weekend intenso, con circa 70 piloti al via in rappresentanza di numerose nazioni e diversi team e marchi ufficiali. Le gare hanno coinvolto le classi S1GP, S2, S4 e SM Junior, valide per il campionato iridato ed europeo, con grande partecipazione di pubblico nel cuore della provincia di Cuneo.
Alla vigilia del weekend la classifica iridata della S1GP vedeva al comando Marc Reiner Schmidt (Ducati), seguito da Julen Avila Cortes (KTM) e Steve Bonnal (TM); tra gli italiani spiccavano Elia Sammartin in S1GP e Leonardo Lapadula, leader della S2. La Super Final S1GP di Busca รจ stata vinta dallo spagnolo Julen Avila Cortes (KTM-MTR Team).
The International Kart Planet Circuit is located in Busca, in the province of Cuneo. By car, it can be reached from Cuneo in about 20 minutes via the SP589; from Turin, take the A6 motorway (Fossano exit) and follow the provincial roads towards Busca. The nearest train station is in Cuneo, which is connected to the town by bus.
Admission is paid, with tickets available for Saturday, Sunday, or the entire weekend. It is recommended to check prices and pre-sales on the official Moto Club Busca channels.
Bring a hat, sunglasses, and ear protection. Food and drink areas are available on-site. Arrive early to secure a good spot along the track and catch the morning practice sessions.
