The Piazza Armerina Carnival is one of the most cherished winter events in the Municipality of Piazza Armerina, located in the heart of the Enna province, in Sicily. For several days, the town's historic center fills with color, music, and cheer: allegorical floats, costumed groups, and choreographed performances parade through the streets and squares, offering a spectacle that delights both young and old.
Allegorical floats and parades
The heart of the festival is the parade of allegorical floats, crafted with care and imagination by local groups and associations, often inspired by current events and satire. Alongside the floats, masked groups march in elaborate costumes with choreographed routines, creating an atmosphere of joyful popular participation. How to get there
Piazza Armerina can be reached by car via the A19 Palermo-Catania motorway (take the Enna or Mulinello exit) and continuing along the SS117bis. The most convenient train station is in Enna, from where you can continue by bus or car.

The parades and performances in the square are free of charge.
