About Piacere Barbaresco Weekends

The Piacere Barbaresco Weekends are the premier spring and autumn events hosted by the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco in Barbaresco, in the province of Cuneo. Every weekend, two local wineries welcome enthusiasts to the evocative deconsecrated Church of San Donato to explore Barbaresco DOCG and its crus, glass by glass, paired with typical Langhe products.

A journey into the heart of Barbaresco DOCG

In the village of Barbaresco, a small town in the province of Cuneo overlooking the hills of the Langhe (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco invites wine lovers to the Piacere Barbaresco Weekends. This event is the evolution of the Piacere Barbaresco project, established in 2007 as a benchmark for discovering and deepening knowledge of Barbaresco DOCG, its territory, and the traditions that made it great.

Since 2019, the format has become more intimate and direct: the absolute protagonists are the producers, who meet the public in person at the Enoteca every weekend. No intermediaries, just a candid dialogue between those who make the wine and those who taste it.

How the tasting works

Each day features two different wineries, guiding enthusiasts through the discovery of Barbaresco DOCG and its crus, one glass at a time. Throughout the season, about fifty local wineries take turns, ensuring that every visit offers a new tasting experience and a different story. The tasting is enriched by pairings with typical Langhe products, ambassadors of the region's excellence worldwide, creating a unique synergy of flavors with the Nebbiolo from Barbaresco.

Access is limited to small groups to ensure a curated and relaxed experience: a perfect opportunity for food and wine tourists, the curious, and wine lovers who want to connect directly with the key players of one of Piedmont's most prestigious denominations.

The Church of San Donato, a unique venue

The Enoteca is housed in the deconsecrated Church of San Donato, in Piazza del Municipio, in the historic center of Barbaresco: a building steeped in history that provides a scenic backdrop for the tastings. The hall, with its vaulted ceilings and intimate atmosphere, transforms the tasting into an experience that blends wine, architecture, and the Langhe landscape.

2026, a special year

2026 is a particularly significant year: the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco celebrates its 40th anniversary. Celebrations span the entire year and provide the ideal setting for the Piacere Barbaresco Weekends, confirming the Enoteca's role as a commercial reference point and a symbolic venue for the entire denomination and the town of Barbaresco.

Piacere Barbaresco Weekends โ€” edition 2026
