Partinico Running Trophy

A celebration of sport in the streets of Partinico

The Partinico Running Trophy is a road race held in Partinico, a key town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily. Established in 2024 and reaching its third edition in 2026, the event is organized by A.S.D. G.S. Partinico Running, an amateur sports association affiliated with FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation), under the patronage of the Municipality of Partinico.

A race for everyone

The event is known for its inclusive and grassroots spirit: the program includes races for all categories, from budding young athletes to adults. Participants include youth categories (Esordienti, Ragazzi/e, Cadetti/e, and Allievi), as well as Juniores, Promesse, Seniores, and Master categories for both men and women. The participation of FISDIR (Italian Federation of Paralympic Sports for Intellectual and Relational Disabilities) – Sicily Delegation is particularly significant, demonstrating how athletics can be a unique and powerful tool for integration.

The city circuit

The race takes place on a city circuit that winds through the streets of Partinico, with the start and finish line near Villa Margherita. The route is designed to engage the town and bring sport directly to the people, with residents encouraged to cheer along the course. The distance varies from year to year, typically ranging between 7 and 8 kilometers.
