The Christmas market and Santa's House at Parco Robinson

The Altofonte Christmas Fair is one of the most anticipated winter events in the small town of the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in Sicily. Organized by the Pro Loco Altofonte APS, the event transforms the village at the foot of the Conca d'Oro into a small Christmas village, complete with market stalls, twinkling lights, and the essential Santa's House.
The heart of the festival is the Christmas market, where you can find artisanal goods, gift ideas, decorations, and local gastronomic specialties. In the editions hosted at Parco Robinson, the green area on Monte Calvario, the atmosphere is completed by Santa's House: children can deliver their letters, meet Santa Claus and his elves, and participate in many activities dedicated to them.
The Christmas Fair is designed primarily for children and families. In past editions, the program has included the arrival of Santa Claus, entertainment shows, bouncy castles, meetings with fairytale characters, and social gatherings. Admission is generally free, making the festival accessible to the entire Altofonte community and visitors from neighboring towns.
Known as the "city of water and oil" for its springs and renowned olive oil production, Altofonte preserves a historic center gathered around the Abbey of the Nativity of the Virgin, founded in 1307. Just a few kilometers from Palermo, the village offers a chance during the holidays to discover its most authentic and familiar side, far from the crowds of the regional capital.
The 2026 edition of the Altofonte Christmas Fair does not yet have official dates. Based on previous editions, the event organized by the Pro Loco Altofonte APS takes place in December and features the Christmas market, craft and local product stands, and Santa's House dedicated to children. The detailed program will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks leading up to the event.
