Three days of tortelli, tradition, and conviviality at Parco dei Salici
La Tortellata is one of the most anticipated events of the Reggiolo autumn: a popular festival dedicated to one of the symbols of Emilian cuisine, the tortello, which every year attracts families, friends, and gourmets from all over the Bassa reggiana to the Parco dei Salici in Reggiolo. The event is part of the Parco Salici in Festa program, a series of events that enlivens the large green space on Via IV Novembre throughout the summer season, equipped to host all kinds of events.
The heart of the festival is the food stand, where fresh pasta is prepared according to tradition and served in numerous variations: from the classic pumpkin version to green tortelli with ricotta and spinach, as well as those with radicchio or mushrooms. To accompany the dishes, there is good local wine, craft beer, and homemade desserts, in a truly convivial spirit.
Alongside the food, La Tortellata offers the typical atmosphere of village festivals: live music and entertainment, a dedicated area for children, stalls, and stands that make the evening suitable for all ages.
A municipality in the Po Valley on the northern border of the province of Reggio Emilia, in Emilia-Romagna, Reggiolo retains a strong gastronomic vocation and a vibrant network of volunteer associations. La Tortellata takes place at the end of the village festival season, shortly after the Bigolata (also at Parco dei Salici), and represents an opportunity to rediscover the flavors of local peasant tradition in a familiar and welcoming setting.
The event is organized by the Associazione Sarabiga APS, the same group of local volunteers involved in Reggiolo's main village festivals. Entry to the park is free; you only pay for what you consume at the food stand.
The 2026 edition of La Tortellata will take place at the Parco dei Salici in Reggiolo from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, 2026, as confirmed by the official Municipal event calendar. The food stand managed by the Associazione Sarabiga APS will offer tortelli in traditional versions—pumpkin, green with ricotta and spinach, and other seasonal variations—with local wine, craft beer, and homemade desserts.
As per tradition, the evenings will be enlivened by music and entertainment, with a dedicated area for children. The detailed program (times, musical groups, and full menu) will be published by the organizers shortly before the event: this page will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition (evening schedules, live music, and full menu) has not yet been published by the organizers. Based on previous editions, the usual structure includes:
The final program will be announced by the Associazione Sarabiga APS in the weeks preceding the event.
