Vigasio Polenta Fair

A tradition that has lasted since 1997

The Vigasio Polenta Fair is one of the most beloved gastronomic events in the province of Verona. Founded in 1997, it takes place every autumn at the sports area in Via Alzeri, in the municipality of Vigasio, in the heart of the Bassa Veronese. Organized by the association Vigasio Eventi, it has grown edition after edition to become a benchmark for food lovers throughout the Veneto region.

Polenta in a hundred variations

The absolute star is polenta, the symbolic dish of Venetian peasant cuisine, here offered in over a hundred different dishes. Twelve kitchens work at full speed to offer polenta paired with meats, mushrooms, cheeses, cod, sauces, and many other Italian traditional delicacies. The five large heated marquees can accommodate up to 4,000 people each evening, ensuring comfort even on the coldest autumn evenings.

Technology and entertainment

The fair combines tradition and innovation: thanks to a dedicated app, visitors can consult the menu from their smartphone, order dishes, and pick them up by presenting a QR code at the checkout. Evenings are enlivened by free admission shows, theatrical comedies, musicals, and the Talent Show in Fiera, which features singers, dancers, and comedians competing. From Monday to Wednesday, there is also a free prize draw for those who have the ticket received at the checkout.
