About Parco d'Inverno Gondar

Every December, the Raffo Parco Gondar in Gallipoli transforms into the largest Christmas Village in Puglia: over 50,000 square meters of lights, markets, shows, and attractions for the whole family along the Galileo Galilei seafront. A Santa's House, Gingerbread Village, Toy Factory, ice skating rink, winter funfair, and the tallest Christmas tree in the region create a magical path that enchants visitors of all ages in the heart of Salento, filled with festive scents, artisanal nativity scenes, and live shows until midnight.

The largest Christmas Village in Puglia

During the festive season, the Raffo Parco Gondar in Gallipoli (Lecce province) completely changes its look to become Parco d'Inverno (Winter Park), the most extensive Christmas Village in Puglia. Spanning over 50,000 square meters along the Galileo Galilei seafront, it features an immersive trail filled with illuminations, artificial snow, the scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine, traditional markets, and scenery that turns the park into a fairy-tale world. It is an event designed for all ages, which has attracted thousands of visitors from across Salento and beyond in its previous editions.

Themed areas

The heart of the experience is the journey through large Christmas settings, each with its own unique atmosphere:

  • Santa's House, where children can meet Santa Claus;
  • The Gingerbread Village and the Toy Factory, with workshops for the little ones;
  • The North Pole, the Nutcracker Prince's Palace, and the Grinch's Lair;
  • The Zoo of Lights and large light installations;
  • The artisanal nativity scene created by Salento's master papier-mâché artists.

Shows and attractions

The program features a mix of musical shows, live concerts, Christmas carols, musicals, circus and magic acts, elf parades, street performers, and street bands. There is also a winter funfair, complete with an ice skating rink, a giant snow slide, rides, and attractions for children, while the cinema area offers free screenings of classic Christmas films. The symbol of the event is the tallest Christmas tree in Puglia, which, standing over 25 meters tall, is lit during the grand opening.

Flavors of Salento and the holidays

The food area complements the visit with seasonal specialties and international street food: mulled wine, hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, traditional sweets, and numerous food trucks. A culinary journey that blends Puglian Christmas traditions with global flavors, perfect for a family evening amidst the lights of the Municipality of Gallipoli.

Parco d'Inverno Gondar — edition 2026

At the moment, the dates for the 2026 edition of Parco d'Inverno have not yet been officially confirmed.
