Outdoor sports, free and accessible to all
OFF - Outdoor Free Festival is the event that flips the classic mountain fair paradigm on its head: instead of just displaying gear, it puts the public directly into action. For an entire weekend, anyone can hop on an e-bike, get their hands on the rock, lace up their hiking boots, or experience the thrill of flight, all completely free of charge and guided by industry professionals. This is the formula that has made OFF one of the most beloved outdoor events in Piedmont.
The OFF Village in Villanova Mondovì
The beating heart of the festival is the OFF Village, located in Piazza Filippi in Villanova Mondovì, in the heart of the Monregalese area in the province of Cuneo. It is a space open to everyone where sports, entertainment, and culture meet: here you can watch shows, meet special guests, and participate in extra activities beyond the sports disciplines. Using Villanova Mondovì as a base, the experiences radiate out into the surrounding territory.
A festival spread across six Mondolé municipalities
The event is organized by the Unione Montana Mondolé and involves six municipalities in the Monregalese area, in the province of Cuneo and the Piedmont region: Villanova Mondovì, Roccaforte Mondovì, Chiusa di Pesio, Frabosa Soprana, Frabosa Sottana, and Pianfei. The experiences wind along the trails of the Ellero and Pesio valleys, in an alpine setting that combines forests, rock faces, and expansive views toward the Monregalese mountains.
Over ten disciplines, divided by level
The program offers more than ten outdoor activities divided by difficulty level — beginner, intermediate, and expert — to welcome both those who have never practiced mountain sports and the most seasoned enthusiasts:
- E-bike, gravel, and mountain bike (also for kids)
- Trekking, guided hikes, and trail running
- Climbing and bouldering
- Horse riding
- Flight experiences
- Yoga and bodyweight activities
- Biathlon and laser biathlon
Each activity is accompanied by alpine guides, nature guides, and cycling instructors, who also provide the necessary technical equipment. Special attention is dedicated to families with children and people with disabilities, with routes designed to ensure accessibility as a founding value of the festival.
Guests and competitions
The festival features renowned names from the world of adventure and climbing, such as the legendary Manolo (Maurizio Zanolla), the adventurer Nicolò Guarrera "Pieroad" — who walked around the world — and Lorenzo Barone, known for his crossings across deserts and oceans. Alongside the free activities, there are also competitive and side events such as MondoleEXPERIENCE, Flower Gravel, and the Bloccalo Forte climbing contest.

La terza edizione di OFF - Outdoor Free Festival ha trasformato il Monregalese in un grande parco giochi a cielo aperto dal 5 al 7 giugno 2026. Il cuore pulsante è stato il Villaggio OFF allestito in Piazza Filippi a Villanova Mondovì, spazio aperto dove sport, intrattenimento e cultura si sono incontrati tra spettacoli, incontri con gli ospiti e attività extra.
Sul territorio dei sei Comuni del Mondolé — Villanova Mondovì, Roccaforte Mondovì, Chiusa di Pesio, Frabosa Soprana, Frabosa Sottana e Pianfei — si sono potute provare gratuitamente, su livelli base, medio ed esperto, più di dieci discipline lungo le valli Ellero e Pesio. Tra gli ospiti più attesi il leggendario climber Manolo (Maurizio Zanolla), l'avventuriero Nicolò Guarrera "Pieroad" e Lorenzo Barone, con i racconti delle sue traversate. La manifestazione è stata organizzata dall'Unione Montana Mondolé.

Venerdì 5 giugno
Apertura del festival con l'allestimento del Villaggio OFF in Piazza Filippi a Villanova Mondovì e prime attività ed esperienze sul territorio.
Sabato 6 e domenica 7 giugno
Cuore della manifestazione con le oltre dieci discipline outdoor su tre livelli (base, medio, esperto):
- E-bike, gravel e mountain bike (anche per ragazzi)
- Trekking, escursioni e trail running lungo i sentieri delle valli
- Arrampicata e bouldering
- Equitazione
- Esperienze di volo
- Yoga e attività a corpo libero
- Biathlon e laser biathlon
Nel Villaggio OFF di Piazza Filippi: attività statiche (gimkhana in bici, laser biathlon, simulatore di volo 3D, slack line), area food, spettacoli e incontri con gli ospiti.

How to get there
Villanova Mondovì can be reached by car via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Mondovì exit), continuing towards the Monregalese area. By train, the reference station is Mondovì, which is connected to the area by local transport. The OFF Village is located in Piazza Filippi, in the town center.
Reservations and costs
All activities are free but require mandatory reservation: spots are limited and registration is done via the official website (online form). Technical equipment is provided by the organizers.
Tips
We recommend wearing layered sportswear, trekking or sports shoes, and bringing a water bottle. For more demanding experiences, please check the difficulty level indicated during the booking process.
