Outdoor sports become free and accessible to everyone
OFF - Outdoor Free Festival is the event that flips the classic mountain fair paradigm on its head: instead of just displaying equipment, it puts the public directly into action. For an entire weekend, anyone can hop on an e-bike, get their hands on the rock, lace up their hiking boots, or experience the thrill of flight, all completely free of charge and under the guidance of industry professionals. This is the formula that has made OFF one of the most beloved outdoor events in Piedmont.
A festival spread across six municipalities of the Mondolé
The event is organized by the Unione Montana Mondolé, promoted by the ATL del Cuneese, and supported by the Fondazione CRC. Activities take place across six municipalities in the Monregalese area, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont: Roccaforte Mondovì, Chiusa di Pesio, Frabosa Soprana, Frabosa Sottana, Pianfei, and Villanova Mondovì. Experiences wind along the trails of the Ellero, Pesio, and Maudagna valleys, in an alpine setting that combines forests, rock faces, and panoramic views toward the Marguareis massif.
Over ten disciplines, divided by level
The program offers more than ten outdoor activities categorized by difficulty level — beginner, intermediate, and expert — to welcome both those who have never practiced mountain sports and the most seasoned enthusiasts:
- E-bike and mountain bike (including for kids)
- Trekking and guided excursions
- Climbing and bouldering
- Horse riding
- Outdoor yoga
- Flight experiences and paragliding
- Biathlon and laser biathlon
- Gravel and trail running
Each activity is accompanied by alpine guides, nature guides, and cycling instructors, who also provide the necessary technical equipment. Special attention is dedicated to families with children and people with disabilities, with routes designed to ensure accessibility as a founding value of the festival.
The village of Roccaforte Mondovì
The hub of the festival is the village set up in the main square of Roccaforte Mondovì, where static activities (bike gymkhana, laser biathlon, 3D flight simulator, slackline), the food area, and evening shows are concentrated. Many of the local experiences depart from here, including the MUT - Mondolé Experience race, a competitive event that traverses the trails of the Ellero Valley with start and finish lines right in Roccaforte.
Guests who have enlivened the festival over the years include adventurers and renowned athletes such as Nicolò Guarrera "Pieroad", who walked around the world, and Lorenzo Barone, famous for his crossings across deserts and oceans, as well as the spectacular acrobatic evolutions of the Kobra BMX Team.
OFF - Outdoor Free Festival — edition 2026
The third edition of OFF - Outdoor Free Festival transformed Roccaforte Mondovì into the heart of Piedmontese outdoor activities from June 5 to 7, 2026. The village set up in the main square hosted static activities — bike gymkhana, laser biathlon, 3D flight simulator, slackline — along with the food area and shows.
Across the six municipalities of the Mondolé, visitors could try over ten disciplines for free, at beginner, intermediate, and expert levels: climbing and bouldering, e-bike and gravel, trekking, trail running, horse riding, flight experiences, yoga, and bodyweight activities. Among the most applauded guests were the aerial evolutions of the Kobra BMX Team led by champion Alex Barbero, the adventurer Nicolò Guarrera "Pieroad", and Lorenzo Barone with tales of his crossings.

Friday, June 5
Opening of the festival with the setup of the village in the main square of Roccaforte Mondovì and the first local activities and experiences.
Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7
Heart of the event with over ten outdoor disciplines at three levels (beginner, intermediate, expert):
- E-bike, gravel, and mountain bike (including for kids)
- Trekking and trail running along the valley trails
- Climbing and bouldering
- Horse riding
- Flight experiences
- Yoga and bodyweight activities
- Biathlon and laser biathlon

Competitive race MUT - Mondolé Experience with start and finish in Roccaforte Mondovì along the trails of the Ellero Valley. Performances by the Kobra BMX Team and meetings with guests Nicolò Guarrera "Pieroad" and Lorenzo Barone.

How to get there
Roccaforte Mondovì can be reached by car via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Mondovì exit), continuing towards the Monregalese area. By train, the reference station is Mondovì, which is then connected to the surrounding area by local transport.
Reservations and costs
All activities are free but require mandatory reservation: spots are limited and registration is done via the official website. Technical equipment is provided by the organizers.
Tips
We recommend wearing layered sportswear, hiking or sports shoes, and bringing a water bottle. For more demanding experiences, please check the difficulty level indicated during the booking process.
