OFF - Outdoor Free Festival, where sport meets the landscape

The OFF - Outdoor Free Festival is a widespread festival dedicated to outdoor sports that transforms the Monregalese area, in the heart of the province of Cuneo, into a vast natural playground every June. The initiative was born with a clear vision: to overturn the paradigm of the classic passive sporting event and encourage the public to engage personally with outdoor disciplines and, above all, with the territory. The festival involves six partner municipalities, including Pianfei, alongside Chiusa di Pesio, Frabosa Sottana, Frabosa Soprana, Roccaforte Mondovì, and Villanova Mondovì, distributing activities across the Ellero, Pesio, and Maudagna valleys.

A major widespread festival in the Monregalese

The format is that of a widespread festival: not a single stage, but an entire mountain district that comes alive with activities for a weekend. Pianfei, at the gateway to the Monregalese valleys in Piedmont, is one of the municipalities that hosts and supports the initiative, sharing the spirit of an event that aims to showcase landscapes, trails, and villages through movement. The beating heart of the event is the OFF Village, set up in the main square of one of the lead municipalities, featuring static activities for all ages.

Outdoor disciplines

The program offers over ten disciplines to practice while immersed in nature, organized into three difficulty levels (beginner, intermediate, and expert) so that everyone can participate and challenge themselves:

• E-bike, mountain bike, gravel, and trail running along the valley trails
• Climbing and bouldering on rock faces and indoor gyms
• Trekking and hiking to discover the panoramic views
• Horse riding and bodyweight activities
• Yoga in the open air and laser biathlon
• Flight experiences and paragliding simulations

All activities are completely free, but advance booking is required. Specific options are available for families with children and people with disabilities, ensuring a truly inclusive event.

The OFF Village and guests

The OFF Village is the hub for the food area, performances, and static activities such as bike gymkhanas, laser biathlon, 3D delta, and slacklining. The calendar is enriched with meetings featuring guests from the outdoor world, exhibitions, and shows that enliven the evenings. Among the most anticipated events are the competitive MUT - Mondolé Experience race, which crosses the trails of the Ellero Valley, and meetings with explorers and athletes who share their grand adventures.
