Theatre, music, dance, and storytelling in a partisan hamlet at 1,360 metres
Nuova Linfa is the multidisciplinary festival that brings the Borgata Paraloup to life, a hamlet in the municipality of Rittana, in the Stura Valley, in the Province of Cuneo (Piedmont). At an altitude of 1,360 metres, in a symbolic site of the Resistance restored by the Nuto Revelli Foundation, the festival offers ten days of programming spread between spring and summer, from May to July 2026.
The common thread is the dialogue between art, nature, and traditions: theatre, live music, dance, magic, narrative and expressive practices, artist residencies, and screenings intertwine with the landscape of the Cuneo Alps. Paraloup thus becomes a place of cultural encounter where the historical memory of the partisan hamlet blends with contemporary creation.
The events take place in the hamlet, which can be reached on foot from Chiot Rosa with a walk of about 45 minutes along the road that climbs from Rittana, in the Stura Valley. The opening weekend of May 2nd and 3rd kicks off the season, which then continues with new dates in July. The setting is that of a small restored Alpine village, nestled in the woods and pastures above the valley floor.
The festival is promoted by the organisation that manages Borgata Paraloup, now a laboratory for cultural and social innovation dedicated to preserving partisan memory and mountain heritage. Nuova Linfa was born with the intent of bringing new artistic languages to high altitudes and making the hamlet a vibrant hub during the summer season, welcoming families, hikers, and culture enthusiasts.
For those looking for a festival away from large city stages, Nuova Linfa offers an intimate and immersive experience, where art is lived in contact with the mountains and the history of the Stura Valley.
