The Christmas arts and crafts market in the historic center of Caldonazzo
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
NatalArte is the Christmas event that the Centriamo Caldonazzo business consortium dedicates to the Advent season every year in the Municipality of Caldonazzo, in Valsugana, in the autonomous province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Born as a creative reimagining of the classic Christmas market, the event focuses entirely on quality and originality: instead of the usual stalls, it is a true exhibition-market of art and craft pieces—unique and exclusive items designed to add a personal touch to the gifts under your tree.
Strolling through the stalls set up in the historic center, next to the Town Hall, visitors can admire wood carvings, embroidery, worked stones, accessories, and handmade objects created by the participating artists and artisans. One of the most appreciated aspects is the opportunity to witness the actual creation process: a way to rediscover the value of craftsmanship and authentic products. The market is accompanied by a culinary trail featuring local food and wine specialties, inviting you to discover the typical flavors of Valsugana and Trentino.
NatalArte is designed especially for families. At the heart of the activities for children is the Elves and Fairies House, a space featuring Santa's post office, a toy workshop, and a fairy-tale corner. Throughout the weekends, numerous activities take place:
To brighten the Christmas atmosphere, there is no shortage of bands and choirs, with folk and Christmas melodies accompanying your walk through the village.
Overlooking the picturesque Lake Caldonazzo, the village offers an ideal setting to experience Christmas in the mountains, away from the crowds of large-scale events. The event is part of the village's wider Christmas calendar, which includes complementary appointments during the Advent weekends and charity initiatives. NatalArte has free admission, is suitable for all ages, and is easily accessible from Trento and the rest of Valsugana.
At the moment, the Centriamo Caldonazzo consortium has not yet announced the official dates for the 2026 edition of NatalArte. Based on past editions, the arts and crafts market is expected to once again bring the historic center of Caldonazzo to life during the Advent weekends, with handmade works, a culinary trail, creative workshops, and activities for children at the Elves and Fairies House. We recommend checking the updated calendar before planning your visit.
By car: A22 Brennero motorway, exit at Trento Sud or Trento Nord, then take the SS47 Valsugana road towards Caldonazzo (approx. 21 km from Trento). By train: Caldonazzo is served by the Trento-Venice (Valsugana) railway line, with a stop in the town.
The market takes place on weekends during the Christmas period, generally from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free. We recommend checking the updated dates and times with the organizers before setting off.
