Concert by the duo The Blue Moon at the Bramaterra Museum in Sostegno
Music and Words from Persia is a concert by the duo The Blue Moon, hosted at the Bramaterra Museum in Sostegno, in the Casa del Bosco hamlet, in the province of Biella, Piedmont. The performance features Iranian singer and composer Shadan Nasehesfahlan, currently a student at Città Studi Biella, and guitarist Alireza Alinejad. Together, they present a repertoire of songs in Persian and English, inspired by the emotions and culture of their native Iran.
The concert is much more than a simple listening experience: the translations of the lyrics, curated by Ania Masi, guide the audience in discovering the poetry and sensitivity of the Persian tradition. Shadan's voice and Alireza's guitar weave distant sounds with the quiet of the Biellese hills, creating a dialogue between cultures within the intimate and evocative space of the museum.
The event takes place at the Bramaterra Museum, located in Piazza Santa Caterina in the Casa del Bosco hamlet of Sostegno. The museum is dedicated to the history of local viticulture and the prized Bramaterra DOC wine, produced from Nebbiolo, Croatina, Bonarda, and Vespolina grapes grown in a small area between the provinces of Biella and Vercelli. It preserves wine presses, crushers, vats, and ancient harvesting tools, serving as a testament to a rural tradition deeply rooted in the hilly landscape of northern Piedmont.
This event is part of the Storie Biellesi season organized by the Biellese Museum Network, which brings concerts, performances, and workshops to the most evocative locations in the area: museums, ecomuseums, historic villas, and sites of cultural interest. The initiative is made possible thanks to the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella, the Fondazione CRT, and the Piedmont Region.
