Among the most popular attractions is the National Exhibition of Apennine Sheep, a showcase dedicated to a breed typical of the Apennines that tells the pastoral history of these mountains. There is also no shortage of equestrian shows and parades that bring the exhibition area to life.

The Fair is not just an exhibition; it is also a forum for discussing the future of agriculture. Mugello Agricultural Fair — edition 2026
The 45th edition of the Mugello Agricultural Fair brought the Foro Boario of Borgo San Lorenzo to life from Thursday, June 4th to Sunday, June 7th, 2026, with an official opening ceremony on Friday, June 5th at 5:30 PM in the presence of local authorities. The edition was a great public success, with over 100 participants and a rich program of events.
Among the 2026 highlights were the debut of the Beppe Pratesi Award for sustainable and inclusive agriculture in Mugello and the 9th National Exhibition of Apennine Sheep. The program also included conferences on agroecology and Mugello wines, equestrian shows, educational workshops for schools, and the signing of an agreement between the University of Florence, GAL Start, and the Mugello Rural District for innovation and technology transfer.

Friday, June 5th
- 09:00 — Start of evaluations for the 9th National Exhibition of Apennine Sheep
- 10:30 — Living lab "Re-Livestock. Resilient Farming Systems"
- 17:30 — Official inauguration with regional and local authorities
- 18:30 — Presentation of the protocol between the Rural District and the University of Florence
- 21:00 — Conference "Mugello wines: history and prospects"
- 22:00 — Biodiversity parade of sheep and goats with breed descriptions
Saturday, June 6th
- 11:00 — Book presentation "Radices - The last sharecroppers"
- 15:00 — Continuation of sheep exhibition evaluations
- 18:30 and 20:30 — Biodiversity parades (repeats)
Sunday, June 7th
- 09:30 — Individual evaluations and awards for the top three farms
Throughout the Fair
- Educational workshops (cheesemaking, beekeeping and honey tasting, sowing and propagation, egg incubation, observation of farm breeds) organized by ARAT, IIS Giotto Ulivi, and IIS Chino Chini
- Equestrian shows and acrobatic drone flights (Saturday and Sunday)
