The Fiavè Milk Festival

The Milk Festival is one of the most authentic gastronomic events in the Garda Trentino region. Held in Fiavè, on the plateau of the Giudicarie Esteriori in the Comano Valley, it celebrates the deep-rooted bond between this land and its dairy culture. The municipality of Fiavè, in the province of Trento and the Trentino-Alto Adige region, has always been a land of mountain pastures and livestock farming: the festival was created to share the story of milk and its derivatives, from the stable to the table.

A 'Month of Taste' Event

The Milk Festival is part of the Month of Taste, an autumn series promoted by the Garda Trentino Tourism Board. Between late September and early November, it brings together festivals, tastings, and experiences dedicated to local, seasonal products. Within this calendar, the Fiavè event is entirely dedicated to milk and cheese, featuring collaborations with local farms, restaurants, and cultural sites.

Fiavè is famous for its biotope, a protected wetland area crossed by easy nature trails, and above all for the Pile Dwelling Museum, which preserves evidence of one of the most significant prehistoric pile-dwelling settlements in the Alps, recognized by UNESCO. During the festival, the museum offers family activities, bridging the gap between prehistoric history and today's rural traditions.
