St. Lawrence's Night music on the beach of Marausa Lido
The Meteore Music Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in the municipality of Misiliscemi, a young town in the Province of Trapani, on the western tip of Sicily. Every year, on the evocative St. Lawrence's Night on August 10th, the beach of Marausa Lido turns into a grand stage overlooking the sea, facing the Egadi Islands.
The event is conceived and coordinated by the Misiliscemi Youth Council and stands out for its rich, non-stop line-up: from sunset until late at night, artists of different styles and diverse formations take the stage. The program ranges from bands and soloists to DJ sets, culminating with a major guest from the Italian music scene who closes the evening. The philosophy is that of a community-focused festival that still manages to attract an audience far beyond the local area.
For the occasion, the beach becomes a small village: an open-air "theater under the stars," areas and stalls dedicated to tasting local products, and stations serving street food and local wine. You can enjoy an aperitif by the sea at sunset and dine comfortably on the beach in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere, under the sky of the shooting stars that characterize St. Lawrence's Night.
Founded just a few years ago, the Meteore Music Festival has quickly become one of the highlights of the Sere d'Estate (Summer Evenings) summer program in Misiliscemi, consolidating a focus on events capable of attracting audiences beyond the local basin. Free admission and the natural setting of the Marausa coast have made it a landmark for young people, families, and tourists spending their summer in western Sicily.
Marausa Lido is a seaside district of the municipality of Misiliscemi, located along the sandy coastline that connects Trapani to the mouth of the Birgi River. It is an ideal location to combine a day at the beach with a great musical evening, just a few kilometers from Trapani, the Birgi airport, and the historic salt pans. With its free, community-oriented approach, the festival is the perfect opportunity to experience an authentic Trapani summer.
The fourth edition of the Meteore Music Festival takes place on Monday, August 10, 2026, on the beach of Marausa Lido, in Misiliscemi (Trapani). The winning formula is confirmed: non-stop music from sunset until late at night, free admission, and the beach transformed into a village with open-air theater and food stalls.
Taking the stage will be Clara, the stage name of Clara Soccini, a singer-songwriter and actress who is one of the protagonists of the new Italian pop scene, having established herself in recent years through music and television. The evening will also feature a rotation of bands, soloists, and DJ sets, in a program designed for the entire community and the many tourists visiting western Sicily.
Marausa Lido is located along the coast of the municipality of Misiliscemi, in the Province of Trapani. By car, it can be reached in a few minutes from the SP21 road from Trapani-Birgi Airport and the city of Trapani. The airport is just a few kilometers away.
Admission is free. Music accompanies the evening from sunset until late at night. There are aperitifs, street food, and stalls selling local products on the beach.
We recommend arriving early to enjoy the sunset over the sea and find a spot on the beach. Bring a towel and comfortable clothing for the outdoor evening.
