Labor Day at Parco della Pace, featuring live music, civil rights, and family fun
In the town of Pineto, in the province of Teramo, Labor Day is more than just a date on the calendar: it is a community celebration that fills Parco della Pace with music, color, and people. Every May 1st, this green space overlooking the Adriatic becomes the beating heart of an event that blends live concerts, union debates, and plenty of family-friendly activities, perfectly balancing popular tradition with contemporary flair.
The format is well-established: the morning kicks off with entertainment and games for children, followed by afternoon concerts featuring top musical acts, and wrapping up in the evening with DJ sets and a closing party. In between, visitors can enjoy street food and drink areas, while union representatives take the stage to highlight the true meaning of the day: labor, participation, and rights. It is a festival that speaks to everyone, from children and families to music enthusiasts.
The choice of artists reflects the event's spirit: bands from the folk-rock and Italian singer-songwriter scene, as well as groups rooted in popular music and civic activism, all capable of turning the concert into a collective experience. Around the stage, Pineto's Parco della Pace hosts a large crowd that chooses May Day as an opportunity to gather outdoors in one of Abruzzo's most beloved seaside towns.
The event is promoted by the Municipality of Pineto in collaboration with local associations and trade unions. The result is a free, open-to-all gathering that has become one of the highlights of the local calendar and the ideal inauguration of the summer season on the Teramo coast.
For the 2026 edition, Pineto's Parco della Pace welcomed one of the most beloved bands on the Italian folk-rock scene, Bandabardò, with their "Se mi rilasso collasso" tour. The event, open to all with free admission, confirmed the successful formula combining music, family activities, and civic engagement, symbolically kicking off the "Pineto Summer 2026" season.
From morning to night, the program featured children's entertainment, live concerts, street food, and DJ sets, all in a beautiful setting overlooking the Adriatic that drew a large crowd of all generations.
The day is dedicated to the themes of labor, rights, and peace, with the participation of trade unions.
