About Molino Green Festival

The Molino Green Festival is a celebration of solidarity and sustainable economy that brings the public park of Molino San Nicola to life every year in the village of Bellante Stazione, in the province of Teramo. Organized by the Molino Solidarity Purchasing Group with the patronage of the Municipality of Bellante, the event brings together a zero-mile farmers' market, workshops, children's games, live music, and delicious food made from ancient grains, all in an atmosphere of community and environmental respect. It is a Plastic Free certified event, free and open to everyone.

The Molino Green Festival in Bellante

The Molino Green Festival is a celebration dedicated to solidarity and sustainable economy, held in the public park of Molino San Nicola, in the heart of the Bellante Stazione district, in the province of Teramo, in the Abruzzo region. Born from the experience of the Molino Solidarity Purchasing Group (GAS) ETS-APS and supported by the patronage of the Municipality of Bellante, the event has grown over the years to become a benchmark for those who love to have fun while respecting the environment, with many activities designed for both adults and children.

A festival of solidarity economy

At the heart of the event are the values that drive the experience of solidarity purchasing groups: restoring a sense of community and a supportive social network, supporting the local economy, and promoting ecological practices. The festival fosters dialogue between local producers, associations, and citizens, focusing on short supply chains, conscious consumption, and waste reduction.

Market, workshops, and activities

The typical program of the Molino Green Festival spans the entire day, from morning until sunset, and features:

  • Farmers' and artisans' market, with suppliers from the solidarity purchasing group and local producers;
  • Workshops for adults and children dedicated to sustainability and creativity;
  • Games and eco-challenges for families and children;
  • Second-hand market for swapping and donating clothes (Used Green Festival);
  • Live music and entertainment, such as drum and voice circles;
  • Delicious food made from ancient grains: focaccia, sandwiches, and products made from traditional flours, cheeses, jams, craft beer, and wine.

A Plastic Free event

The Molino Green Festival is a Plastic Free certified event, one of the first in the Teramo area to have eliminated single-use plastic products. Consistent with its environmental mission, the festival also offers moments for in-depth discussion and awareness, such as round tables on ecological topics and the protection of Abruzzo's natural resources.

Admission and information

Admission to the Molino Green Festival is free and open to all. The event is usually held on a Sunday in late September or early October, in a park surrounded by the greenery of the Teramo countryside, easily accessible and suitable for the whole family.
