The Matthäus Markt is the grand traditional autumn market of the municipality of Prato allo Stelvio (Prad am Stilfserjoch), located in the heart of the Vinschgau Valley in the province of Bolzano, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. It is named after Saint Matthew (Matthäus), whose feast day falls on September 21st: the market is held annually around this date, unless it falls on a Sunday, in which case it is rescheduled.
