An immersive journey through electronic music, contemporary art, and nature on the island of the wind
Magnetica Pantelleria is much more than a musical event: it is an immersive cultural experience that intertwines electronic music, contemporary art, landscape, and collective practices. Every year, at the end of August, the island of Pantelleria—the largest of the minor Sicilian islands, in the province of Trapani—welcomes a temporary community of artists, musicians, and travelers who spend a few days in deep dialogue with the volcanic nature and the wind that gives the island its name.
The heart of the festival is La Collina di Loredana, a contemporary art park and open-air museum immersed in the rugged and luminous landscape of Pantelleria. Here, you can find permanent installations by internationally renowned artists such as Not Vital, Massimo Kaufmann, Susan Philipsz, Karsten Födinger, and Claire Fontaine. The works interact with the traditional dammusi, the terraced fields, and the Mediterranean scrub, turning a walk into a path that blends art, memory, and territory.
Magnetica's program unfolds through day and night, alternating between moments of celebration and reflection. Alongside DJ sets and live electronic music, there are exhibitions, audiovisual installations, markets, workshops, gastronomic experiences linked to local island products, boat parties, grape harvests, guided tours of abandoned military bunkers, yoga classes, and tarot readings. It is a kaleidoscope of languages designed for those seeking a slow and profound experience, far from the logic of large commercial festivals.
Magnetica was born from the collaboration between La Collina di Loredana and Le Cannibale, a Milanese curatorial entity specializing in electronic music and clubbing culture. Together, they have built a format that brings an international cultural proposal to Sicily, specifically to the Municipality of Pantelleria, capable of enhancing a fragile and beautiful territory through art and sound.
Participating in Magnetica Pantelleria means embracing the rhythm of the island: the winds, the sea, the sunsets that set the hill ablaze, and the nights spent dancing under the stars. It is an invitation to slow down and let yourself be touched by beauty, in one of the most magnetic places in the Sicilian Region.
From August 19 to 22, 2026, Magnetica Pantelleria returns to La Collina di Loredana with four days of music, art, and collective rituals. The program alternates between clubbing, boat parties, exhibitions, audiovisual installations, markets, workshops, grape harvests, guided tours, yoga classes, and tarot readings.
The opening night on August 19 features Giale, Hiroko Hacci, Marco Ohboy, and Cristal on the decks, with visual direction by Visual Substance. Over the following days, DJ sets and performances continue late into the night, amidst the permanent works of Not Vital, Susan Philipsz, and Claire Fontaine.
Electronic music DJ sets and live acts, boat parties, guided tours of the bunkers, workshops, yoga, and tarot readings. The full program and schedule are published on the festival's official channels.
Pantelleria can be reached by plane (flights to Pantelleria airport from Trapani, Palermo, and, during the summer months, from various Italian cities) or by ferry/hydrofoil from Trapani. La Collina di Loredana is located at Via Cimillia 30; it is best to get around the island by rental car or scooter.
Festival tickets are on sale on the DICE platform. Passes for the entire event and tickets for individual evenings are available. It is recommended to purchase in advance and organize accommodation and transport early, given the island nature of the destination.
Book a dammuso or accommodation early; bring comfortable shoes for the park trails and clothing suitable for the evening wind.
