The summer festival in Realmonte at the Teatro Costa Bianca, nestled between the Scala dei Turchi and Capo Rossello
Estate Costabianca is the summer performance festival that brings Realmonte to life every year. This small town in the province of Agrigento is world-famous for the Scala dei Turchi, the white marl cliff that descends in natural steps toward the sea. From the height of summer through September, the town transforms into a sprawling stage that weaves together music, theater, comedy, and tradition, with a special focus on families and the many tourists who flock to the Sicilian coast during these months.
The heart of the festival is the Teatro Costa Bianca, a Greek-Segestan inspired open-air theater built at the foot of the Capo Rossello bay, immersed in the arc of white gullies that gives the coast its name. The seating area, divided into sections for approximately 1,500 spectators, evokes the famous theater of Segesta and offers performances with the sea and sky as a natural backdrop. In addition to the theater, the festival also utilizes Piazza Umberto I in the town center and Lido Rossello for more informal events and evenings under the stars.
The programming of Estate Costabianca is intentionally diverse and designed for all ages. Throughout the weeks, the schedule features:
The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Realmonte with the artistic direction of Marco Gallo, in collaboration with the local municipality. More than just a simple calendar of events, Estate Costabianca has become a way to enhance the identity of the territory over the years: the beauty of the Scala dei Turchi, the beaches of Capo Rossello, and the tourist appeal of this stretch of Sicily in the province of Agrigento. Attending a concert or a show at the Teatro Costa Bianca, with the sound of the sea just a few meters away, is an experience that combines culture, landscape, and Mediterranean atmosphere.
The 2026 edition of Estate Costabianca confirms Realmonte as one of the summer capitals of entertainment in the Agrigento area. The Teatro Costa Bianca hosts a program of nationally renowned concerts, complemented by events in Piazza Umberto I.
The season opens in June with the Cuddiruni Fest in Piazza Umberto I and continues throughout the summer with theater, cabaret, open-air cinema, and family initiatives. Tickets for paid events are available on the agrigento-biglietti.com circuit.
Realmonte is located on the coast of the province of Agrigento, about 15 km from the provincial capital. By car, it can be reached via the SS115; the nearest airports are Palermo (about 2 hours away) or Catania-Fontanarossa. The reference train station is Agrigento, which is connected to Realmonte by bus.
Paid events at the Teatro Costa Bianca require tickets that can be purchased online via the agrigento-biglietti.com circuit; many initiatives in the town square and for families offer free admission.

We recommend combining your evening show with a visit to the Scala dei Turchi and the beaches of Capo Rossello. Be sure to book your accommodation well in advance for July and August, when the Agrigento coast is very popular.
