The Via Alberto Sordi Christmas village, from the Immaculate Conception to Epiphany
For the 2025 holiday season, the Municipality of Lusciano, in the province of Caserta, saw the birth of its first true Christmas village: "Magie di Natale", set up in the Via Alberto Sordi area and inaugurated on December 8, 2025, with the lighting of the Christmas decorations. The initiative was created by Party Music Words in collaboration with the Cresciamo Insieme association, with the aim of giving the town and the entire area north of Naples a meeting point for the entire holiday period, from the Immaculate Conception to Epiphany.
The village is designed as a stroll through lights and wooden huts: visitors find a decorated path where stalls, attractions, and refreshment points alternate. The main highlights include:
Alongside the markets, the calendar includes entertainment and shows dedicated to children, creative workshops, musical events, and entertainment moments that accompany visitors throughout the duration of the event. The evening program was scheduled week by week and announced through the village's social media channels, refreshing the offerings over weekends and the peak days of the school holidays.
The grand finale is set for January 6, 2026: the event concludes with the Befana parade and the distribution of charity stockings to all children present, a gesture that gives the event a clear social and community footprint. It is the way chosen by the organizers to bid farewell to the holidays and give the town a shared image of Epiphany.
The village fits into a well-established custom: for years, Lusciano has dedicated a calendar of events to the holidays, historically known as "Raccontiamoci il Natale" and curated by the Municipal Administration with the Pro Loco Orizzonti Comuni, featuring theatrical performances and concerts hosted primarily in the Palazzo Ducale on Via Costanzo. "Magie di Natale" adds a more popular, open-air dimension to that tradition, capable of attracting audiences from the neighboring towns of the Agro Aversano.
In a densely populated area like the one straddling the provinces of Caserta and Naples, a free Christmas village represents a concrete resource for families: you can arrive on foot or with a short car ride, stroll through the lights, stop by the markets, and give children time for a ride or a photo with Santa Claus. For those visiting Campania during the holidays, "Magie di Natale" is also an opportunity to see how a small town experiences Christmas away from the most crowded tourist circuits.
On December 8, 2025, the day of the Immaculate Conception, the lighting ceremony inaugurated the "Magie di Natale" village in Lusciano, in the Via Alberto Sordi area. An initiative by Party Music Words with the Cresciamo Insieme association, which for the first time gave the Caserta municipality a structured Christmas village, open until Epiphany.
For nearly a month, the path hosted craft markets, a funfair, food stalls, creative workshops, entertainment and shows dedicated to children, and musical events, in addition to the unmissable meeting with Santa Claus. The evening calendar was updated week by week on the event's social media channels.
The closing, on January 6, 2026, featured the Befana parade with the distribution of charity stockings to all children present: a finale that combined the tradition of the Campanian Epiphany with a spirit of solidarity deeply felt in the town.
