The Livorno Urban Festival

The Livorno Urban Festival was born in 2026 as the first major urban culture event in the Municipality of Livorno, Tuscany. From June 25 to 28, the Terrazza Mascagni, one of the most beloved panoramic terraces on the Tyrrhenian coast, transforms into an open-air village where sports, music, art, and gaming meet against the backdrop of the sea. The event is organized through a collaboration between ASD Livorno 3x3 and Streetball Livorno, two organizations that have been working since 2018 to provide the city's basketball scene with a recognizable, open, and contemporary space. Admission is completely free.

The sporting heart: 3x3 basketball

The soul of the event is 3x3 basketball, featuring a FIP-sanctioned court overlooking the sea. The sports program includes several tournaments:

• FIP 3x3 TOP: Men's and women's teams compete on a court valid for the official national FIBA ranking;
• FIP Under 3x3: Seven categories, from the youngest players to the Under 18s, dedicated to the movement's young talents;
• Wheelchair tournament and Baskin, where people with and without disabilities play together, highlighting the festival's inclusive spirit;
• the King of the Court, 1vs1 challenges open to everyone with special streetball guests.

Local clubs such as Pielle Livorno and Libertas Livorno also participate in the event.

Gaming, music, and street culture

Beyond the court, the Livorno Urban Festival offers a large gaming area with trading card tournaments (Pokémon, Magic, Lorcana, One Piece) and NBA 2K console stations, curated in partnership with Team Aqua and the Centro del Fumetto. There will also be breaking, dance, and live performances, live podcasts such as "Dillo al Boncio" and "5&5", and a street art section where eight writers will create works dedicated to the district boat houses. To complete the atmosphere, the street food area will feature traditional Livorno flavors.

The centenary of the Palio Marinaro

The festival's first edition is tied to a landmark event for the city: the centenary of the Palio Marinaro. The team jerseys reflect the colors of the eight Livorno districts, and the official Palio awards ceremony is an integral part of the program, weaving new urban culture together with one of the most cherished traditions in the Province of Livorno.

With its free-entry format and waterfront location, the Livorno Urban Festival is designed for families, athletes, gaming enthusiasts, and curious visitors of all ages, showcasing contemporary Livorno through a blend of sea, sport, and creativity.
