Five evenings of books, authors, and entertainment in the Cascina Vigna park in Carmagnola
Letti di Notte is the literary event that transforms the Cascina Vigna park, in the heart of Carmagnola, into a large open-air living room every June. Created to bring the public closer to books through a light and popular approach—hence the "pop literary" formula—the festival brings writers, journalists, actors, and television personalities to this town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, to discuss their work in direct, informal conversations.
Each event follows a proven structure: the author presents their book in conversation with a journalist, answers questions from the audience, and signs copies at the end of the evening. The meetings start at 9:00 PM and admission is free until capacity is reached, with no booking required. Over the years, the festival has sold out almost every night, with an average of over 500 spectators per event.
The venue is the Cascina Vigna park, at via San Francesco di Sales 188, which features ample parking and a bar-refreshment service active during the evenings. Directed by Maurizio Liberti and promoted by the Carmagnola Reading Group together with the Municipality and the Metropolitan City of Turin, the festival is part of the city's Month of Culture and represents one of the most popular cultural events in the Carmagnola calendar.
The festival takes place at the Cascina Vigna park, at via San Francesco di Sales 188 in Carmagnola (TO). By car, Carmagnola can be reached via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Carmagnola exit) and the SS20; the park has ample parking. By train, the Carmagnola station is on the Turin-Savona/Fossano line.
All meetings start at 9:00 PM. Admission is free until all seats are taken, with no need for reservations: we recommend arriving early on evenings with popular guests.
A bar-refreshment service is available inside the park during the evenings. Children's workshops (Letti di Notte Kids) and book signings are held at the end of each meeting.
