Lesina Summer

A summer of performances on the Lesina lagoon

Lesina Summer is the festival that accompanies the warmest months of the year in the village of Lesina, overlooking the lagoon of the same name on the western side of the Gargano, in the province of Foggia (Apulia). Every summer, the town transforms into a large open-air stage, with a programme that weaves together music, theatre, comedy, dance, and fine food.

The festival venues

The beating heart of the performances is the Villa Comunale amphitheatre, complemented by Piazza Fontana and the evocative Zona Rosa dei Venti. These are distinct spaces, all within the historic centre, allowing visitors to enjoy the evenings by strolling from one event to the next, with the lagoon and the Gargano National Park providing a natural backdrop.

A multidisciplinary programme

The Lesina Summer formula blends genres and styles: tribute concerts and live music, theatrical performances, cabaret and comedy nights, dance, and events dedicated to 90s nostalgia, not to mention DJ sets under the stars. Accompanying the shows are food and wine installations curated by Lagoritmo, designed to make every evening a sensory experience, featuring the typical flavours of the lagoon and Gargano tradition.

Organisation and territory

The festival is promoted by the Lagoritmo ETS Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Lesina, in a collaboration between the third sector and the local administration aimed at enhancing the town's identity and offering residents and tourists a high-quality programme during the summer season. Lesina, known for its eel fishing and unique lagoon ecosystem, finds in this event an opportunity to share its story through entertainment and culture.
