The Lasagna Festival was born and takes place as part of the Patronal Feast of San Servilio, the village's protector, blending popular devotion and conviviality in an event that draws visitors from across the Maremma and the nearby southern Tuscany.

Lasagna, a homemade dish

The heart of the event is the homemade lasagna, prepared using traditional methods and served with a ragù made from ingredients sourced from local farms. It is a dish deeply rooted in the identity of the Montenero community, a symbol of craftsmanship passed down through generations, served during the festival at the food stalls set up in the village. There is also room for sports with the Montene-Bike, a cycling tour through the trails of the Montenero countryside, which concludes with lunch at the festival stalls.
