Le Vie del Natale is the festival that lights up the historic center of Trani every winter. This elegant city in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Apulia, is famous for its Romanesque cathedral overlooking the sea. For about a month, from early December until Epiphany, the alleys, squares, and palaces of the old town host a packed calendar of events designed for residents, families, and visitors alike.
The schedule features more than eighty initiatives spread across the main city squares: the Villa Comunale, Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Quercia, and the Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani, which serves as the cultural hub of the event. Visitors can stroll through artisan markets, attend street performances, and enjoy light installations and themed displays.
The highlight of the festival is the grand New Year's Eve party in Piazza Quercia, one of the most popular events of the Apulian Christmas season, drawing tens of thousands of people for concerts, live music, and shows to ring in the new year.
Promoted by the Municipality of Trani in collaboration with local cultural organizations, including the Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani, Le Vie del Natale is now a fixed appointment in the Trani winter calendar: an opportunity to rediscover the historic center in a festive atmosphere and experience the popular traditions and folklore of the Apulian region in a true community spirit.
The 2026 edition of Le Vie del Natale in Trani has not yet been officially confirmed. Based on previous editions, the festival is expected to take place during the Christmas period, with events spread throughout the historic center. As soon as the Municipality of Trani announces the dates and program, this page will be updated with all the details.
Events take place in the historic center of Trani, between the Villa Comunale, Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Quercia, and the Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani.
