International Street Food returns to Piombino

The International Street Food is one of Italy's most popular traveling street food events, and every year it makes a stop in Piombino, in the heart of the Etruscan Coast, in the province of Livorno. The festival brings Viale del Popolo, one of the city's main thoroughfares, to life with dozens of food trucks and stalls from all over the country and abroad.

Organized by Colleventi in collaboration with AIRS - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada and supported by the Municipality of Piombino, the event is free to enter: you only pay for what you choose to taste. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the variety of street food in a festive atmosphere, surrounded by the scents, colors, and traditions of every latitude.

A journey through flavors from around the world

The strength of this festival lies in its international scope. Along Viale del Popolo, you can sample Italian regional specialties and dishes from all over the planet. Among the cuisines and dishes featured at the event:

• Italy: Abruzzese arrosticini, Apulian bombette, caciocavallo impiccato, gourmet sandwiches, and fried seafood;
• Spain: paella and churros;
• Latin America: Mexican and Argentine cuisine, featuring grilled meats;
• World: Hungarian specialties like kurtos, as well as Indian, Tunisian, and Peruvian offerings;
• Breweries: a selection of Italian and European craft beers.

When and where

The 2026 edition takes place from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21, once again on Viale del Popolo in Piombino. On Friday, the gastronomic village opens in the afternoon/evening, while on Saturday and Sunday, it remains open continuously from noon until midnight, allowing visitors to enjoy lunch, dinner, and a tasty stroll even after sunset.

Piombino and the Etruscan Coast

The Piombino stop is set within a city full of charm: Piombino, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea across from the Island of Elba, serves as the gateway to the Etruscan Coast and the Baratti and Populonia Park. Participating in the International Street Food is the perfect excuse to combine the pleasure of good food with a visit to the historic center, the port, and the local beaches. Now a highly anticipated fixture in the city's calendar, the event helps boost commerce and social life in the center of Piombino, in Tuscany.
