The great travelling street food festival arrives at Parco Moretti in Udine
For a spring weekend, Parco Moretti in Udine transforms into a large open-air gastronomic village: the International Street Food, Italy's largest travelling festival dedicated to street food, arrives. Dozens of selected food trucks and stands, from all over Italy and abroad, gather for three days of flavours, aromas, and conviviality, with completely free admission.
The culinary offering is a true world tour: from American smash burgers to Hungarian kürtős, from paella and gluten-free reina pepiada to Mexican, Greek, and Argentinian cuisine. Italian excellences are also present, from Puglian bombette to arrosticini, from handmade Ascolana olives to fried pizza, from pulled pork to Don Fritto's fried dishes. To complete the offering, a selection of Italian and foreign craft beers.
The event is organised by A.I.R.S. – Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada (Italian Street Food Association), chaired by Alfredo Orofino, in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Udine. The format, which travels around Italy from stop to stop, is now an eagerly awaited event in the Friulian capital, combining good food, a festive atmosphere, and green spaces.
With free admission, the ample spaces of Parco Moretti, and an offering also suitable for those with particular dietary needs (including gluten-free options), International Street Food is a perfect occasion for families, friends, and the curious. A weekend to travel the world through food without leaving Udine.
