The International Folklore Festival of Cefalù

The International Folklore Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Cefalù, a Norman gem overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily. For one evening, the streets and squares of the medieval village are filled with the colors, scents, and rhythms of distant lands. Past editions have featured groups from Colombia, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, and Serbia, each showcasing their own repertoire of traditional songs and choreography. The show typically unfolds in two parts: an initial performance in the historic center in the late afternoon, and the grand evening show on the Lungomare Giardina, a scenic promenade overlooking the sea.
