The Magic of Christmas in Trabia

The Magic of Christmas is the holiday program promoted by the municipal administration of Trabia, a coastal town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. For about a month, between the town center and the seaside hamlet of San Nicola l'Arena, the squares and streets fill with lights, music, and activities designed to celebrate the Christmas atmosphere together.

A community-wide program

The initiative is a collaborative project by the Municipality: a calendar packed with events that blends culture, entertainment, and conviviality. The program includes the Santa Claus Village, a nativity scene exhibition, shows for children, musical performances, and tastings of local products, spread across the key landmarks of Trabia and San Nicola l'Arena.

Between sea, castles, and tradition

The setting is a town rich in history: from the Castello dei Principi Lanza to the ancient tonnara (tuna fishery), and the charming seaside village of San Nicola l'Arena with its castle overlooking the small harbor. Trabia, known as the home of spaghetti and famous for its loquats, showcases its identity during the holidays through folk traditions and the moments of sharing that have always characterized the Sicilian Christmas.

An event for families

With its free admission and focus on children, The Magic of Christmas is aimed primarily at local families, but it also represents a great opportunity to discover Trabia and its hamlet outside the summer season. The event confirms the Municipality's commitment to making the holidays a time of cultural animation and hospitality for the entire Sicily region.
