Two days of taste, culture, and music in the heart of Brindisi
Il Conviviale - Food and Wine Festival is the event that brings local flavors to the historic center of Brindisi, the capital of the province of the same name in Puglia. For two days, the area between Piazza Duomo, Via Colonne, Via Scolmafora, and the picturesque Scalinata Virgilio becomes a single, large exhibition space dedicated to the best companies in the Apulian food and wine sector. It is an itinerary that interprets taste as a story of the territory, featuring producers, tastings, and live music.
The heart of the festival is the tasting trail: participants receive a bag and a glass to sample local wines and craft beers, moving freely between the exhibitors' stands. Access to the entire area is free, allowing residents and visitors to discover the food and wine excellence of Brindisi at their own pace, from wines to artisanal products, in the convivial atmosphere that gives the event its name.
Il Conviviale is not just about food and wine. Thanks to the collaboration with the Le Colonne association, guided tours are scheduled for the Francesco Ribezzo Provincial Archaeological Museum and the Faldetta Archaeological Collectionโtwo unmissable stops to learn about the city's millennial history. The evenings are enlivened by live music, featuring students from Futuro Musica and various tribute concerts, while there is also space for book presentations and social gatherings. The event's success is supported by numerous local associations, including Le Colonne, Futuro Musica, BrindiAmo, La Biblioteca del Vicolo, Yeahjasi Santa Spazio Culturale, and Batti un Colpo.
Il Conviviale is promoted by the Pro Loco of Brindisi in partnership with Slow Food Brindisi and is part of the Brindisi a Natale program, curated by the Fondazione Nuovo Teatro Verdi with the support of the Municipality of Brindisi. Held around the Epiphany, it represents the grand food and wine finale of the winter festivities in the city, an opportunity to experience the historic center amidst lights, flavors, and community.
The debut of Il Conviviale - Food and Wine Festival brought the heart of Brindisi to life on Sunday, January 4, and Monday, January 5, 2026. The area between Piazza Duomo, Via Colonne, Via Scolmafora, and the Scalinata Virgilio transformed into a large exhibition space for the best local food and wine producers, featuring a free-access tasting trail with a bag and glass for wine and craft beer samples.
Alongside the food, the program offered guided tours of the Francesco Ribezzo Archaeological Museum and the Faldetta Archaeological Collection thanks to the Le Colonne association, the presentation of the book Da quando ti ho trovato by Don Cosimo Schena, and several evenings of live music. The event, promoted by the Pro Loco of Brindisi with Slow Food, was included in the Brindisi a Natale 2025 program.
