Four evenings of great cinema in the former Battuti church in Rodello
In the heart of Rodello, a charming town in the Alta Langa area of the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, the Hi Langhe collective transforms the theatre inside the former Battuti church into a small village cinema. The Film Festival offers a series of evenings dedicated to great cinema, with a special focus on the themes of social inclusion and community values.
Hi Langhe is a collective born from the collaboration between the parish of Rodello, the Compagnia di San Paolo, and the Fondazione CRC. It brings together local youth, the Be Street and Accipicchia associations, and the Santi Lorenzo e Teobaldo foundation, with the goal of creating social opportunities within the community. The screening series is produced in collaboration with the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Rodello.
The selection favours titles that combine quality with reflection. The 2025 edition featured films such as Little Miss Sunshine, the comedy about an unconventional family on a road trip; Si può fare, dedicated to the theme of social reintegration; and Un mondo a parte, the story of a teacher seeking a fresh start in a mountain village. The 2026 festival opened with C'è ancora domani, the acclaimed film directed by and starring Paola Cortellesi.
More than just a screening, each event is a meeting point for the residents of Rodello and surrounding towns. Admission is free until all seats are taken, confirming the popular and inclusive nature of the project. Evenings usually start at 8:30 PM in the intimate and evocative setting of the ancient Battuti church.
