An enogastronomic journey through the courtyards and cellars of Dubino, at the gateway to Valtellina
Gustosando a Dubino is an enogastronomic route that winds through the courtyards and cellars of the village, in Dubino, a municipality in the lower Valtellina in the province of Sondrio, in the area known as the "Gateway to Valtellina". It is a slow walk, made up of stops and encounters, designed to rediscover the village through its most authentic flavours.
The heart of the event are the eight "Invölt", the tasting stops set up in the most characteristic corners of the village. Each stop pairs a local dish with a Valtellina wine: starting with a traditional appetizer and the IGT Bianco Monrose, continuing with Bitto and bresaola accompanied by Rosso di Valtellina DOC, sciatt with Inferno Riserva DOCG, gnocchetti di Chiavenna with Sassella Riserva DOCG. There are also typical Dubino specialities, such as pustolok and figascin, ribs cooked with lavèc, and to finish, local liqueurs.
What makes Gustosando special are the local products: flours from the old mill, mountain cheeses, and potatoes from local farms, which are the stars of many dishes. It is a journey that tells the story of Valtellina's agriculture and food craftsmanship, celebrating those who cultivate and process these products.
The event is organized by the Consorzio Turistico Porte di Valtellina (Valtellina Gateway Tourist Consortium) and requires booking for the tasting route, which can be purchased online. It is an autumn appointment that combines good food, wine, and the desire to stroll together through the streets of a Valtellina village.
Gustosando a Dubino returns in 2026 with its taste route through the courtyards and cellars of the village.
