Delebio October Fair
The October Fair is the most anticipated event of the year in Delebio, a municipality in the lower Valtellina region, in the province of Sondrio. Its roots are deep: the event was established by royal decree on January 17, 1809, testifying to the historical commercial importance of this crossroads between Valtellina and Valchiavenna.
For the duration of the fair, stalls invade via Stelvio (the former state road 38) and the internal streets of the town, offering crafts, gastronomy, clothing, and local products. The rural and identity heart of the event, however, remains the livestock fair in the Gera area, with the exhibition of cows, horses, goats, and farmyard animals: a living reminder of the valley's agricultural traditions and a meeting point for breeders and the curious.
Promoted by the Municipality of Delebio, the October Fair combines shopping, flavors, and tradition, and is one of the events that best tell the soul of lower Valtellina.
October Fair — edition 2026
For autumn 2026, Delebio will renew its October Fair, a historic and popular event in lower Valtellina. The event traditionally takes place over two days (Sunday and Monday) with stalls along via Stelvio and the internal streets, and the livestock fair in the Gera area.
The exact dates for the 2026 edition will be officially announced by the Municipality of Delebio in the weeks prior.
